Did Hitler really die in Berlin?

The second Italian Facist regime : la Repubblica Sociale Italiana (RSI) was set up today, with its capital, not in Rome, but Salo, a small town in Lombardy on Lake Garda,  Northern Italy, where the RSI had his Foreign Office.  
Mussolini was its head, but it was nothing more than a German puppet, dependent on its military and financial support.
Mussolini had been rescued from captivity in a daring raid by a soon to be famous German SS Colonel, Otto Skorzeny on September 12th.
Italy had  surrendered on the 8th and the Allies had  landed at Salerno on the 9th and were fighting the Germans in the south of Italy at this time, though they had not yet captured the city port of Naples.

Probably doesn’t help that Isreal ignores treaties and the population builds wherever it wants, forcing the Palestinian further and further out, but I don’t want to get too much into that or we’ll be closed for business.

Israel would not even exist today if not for western powers

I do not have a favorable opinion on Israel.

The defeat of Leningrad would have been easier than Stalingrad.

The loss of Moscow would have been much greater loss than Baku and resulted in a shortening of the front of which a latter southern drive could succeed without fear of getting cut off because at that point all logistical support for Soviets would be coming entirely east of the Don and this country is not too developed. The last Soviet Factories would be in range of Axis bombers and the front would have rolled up more easily, than committing the 6th to Stalingrad with all other Soviet logistical and political objectives are intact allowing easy reinforcement from rail heads running south from Moscow.

Am I missing something here?

What’s so heroic about this?  The dude did his job?  Theres nothing particularily “distinguished” about it.  Other then the fact it was big H on the stand.

Hans was a lawyer and he cross examined Hittler rightfully on the stand, did a good job (But not good enough to convict?) and pissed off the Nazi’s, ok - cool.  But so what?

Whats the big deal?  For this Type A personality, it’s normal to be good at what you do, and not care what anyone else thinks - be stubborn and often RUDE in your interactions with people in general, which he was.

I’m still not seeing the heroics… ? ? ?  Heroic would be he put a luger in Hitlers face, and took one for the team.

Otherwise… where do you draw the line?  Is every footsoldier in the conflict a hero?  Is everyone who passed information, sent thier children to war, or baked applie pies for the troops a hero?

Everyone has parts to play, Heroic’s in my understanding is when you step up and above that?

I mean, is a paramedic a hero for saving lives everyday - or is that just his job?

It is wholly unheroic not to stand up in the face of tyranny, but that does not make it heroic to do the right thing everyday.

Everthing about the Horton says that the Germans knew what they were doing and purposfully used every unconventional means possible to make it invisible to radar, from the building matterial to the slight angles at the front of wing, to the engine placement…

I certainly can. My best source is “THE SS, Hitlers Instrument of Terror” by Gordon Williams. It was actually Himmlers idea to incorporate Muslims into SS units as an experiment. They used their new power to quickly murder “religious infidels” including Jews and were eventually given only police authority because of their lack of obediance to SS order. They had their own special collar tabs but were never issued an SS Honour cuff on the sleeve. Himmler had these units engaged in the Balkans, around Greece and a few other minor battles. They were actually fought VERY poorly and were taken off the front lines. For the rest of the war, the units that weren’t disbanded were used for anit-partisan activities and were “attached” to another SS unit but did not have the title SS.

It was a brief experiment that elated Himmler. Hitler has little to do with it as far as I know.
