where do U place UK IC
in India?

I always put the colonial garrison in India and immediately start bolstering the defending land forces. Otherwise, the Japanese can use the J1 or J2 India crush and grab the VC quickly

You’re right, whether using the box rules or LHTR.  Taking a power’s IPCs by taking their capital is not income, so you can collect it even if your capital is held by the enemy.

Just adding my support to our Rules Expert Krieg…  His statements are 100% correct regarding Amphibs.

I would say Yes to question 3 based on this. Moving through a friendly seazone is not considered a combat move and the SZ not containing destroyers is effectively a friendly seazone for a sub.

Well, I’d be willing to advocate both views. As I quoted submarines treat hostile sea zones as friendly, but that statement is under “combat movement phase”. Looking under “ncm phase” this is not repeated, in fact, it states that NO sea units may move through hostile sea zones EXCEPT in the case of enemy submerged submarines.

Might be worth looking more into, but I assume mostly for theoretical interest.

One thing to keep in mind about IC.  You normally will want to build an IC for 1 of 2 reasons.

1.  Your income exceeds your build capacity.  This is very common for Japan, they have only 1 IC with a build limit of 8.

2.  Your current IC’s are far from battlefield.  Also very common for Japan as they move farther west in Asia.  This also applies to the US & UK to a lesser degree.  Many US/UK players will place an IC in Sinkiang (US) and/or India (UK) in an effort to slow down Japan’s western advance.
