J1 attack. When does the US get their extra 40 IPC's?

I believe you are correct.  The “bonus” 30 the US gets when it’s attacked early is to compensate for not having extra money while “at war during collect income”, for example:

The US is attacked turn 2, gets 30 IPCs immediately so they have that to spend when it becomes their turn.  If this were NOT the case, then the US would only have their initial 30 IPCs to spend during “war time” which wouldn’t make sense.

This is how I understand it.

I mainly made these because I need  larger things to see and especially reminders what the national bonuses are for objectives. We always have a new player joining and he does not quite remember what is required to get the bonus.

On the battle board I added information about surprise attacks and anti aircraft as people forget to roll these first, Kamikaze information, and how to do strategic bombing runs.

The UK not only can’t land it’s units, but it has to endure one round of defensive fire from the scrambled unit(s) before it can retreat.  Any units on those transports are lost.

Not so.  Since it’s not the transport’s turn, it is not in the battle and can’t move.  The scrambled fighter simply prevents the amphibious landing without inflicting any casualties.

KH explained: A fighter can scramble to join a battle or against an amphibious assault.  It cannot scramble against ships that are just putting around its waters though.  This raises a new question, so I hope Krieghund is reading:  If I send transports (only), or even a fleet with warships to assault an island with scramblable (I made up a word!!) units, can I send a fighter into the waters with it, even though that is not really a combat move (but it will be if my opponent scrambles)?

Yes.  Just the chance of combat is enough to justify the move.

I’ll have to agree with Achtung, its a good Idea, but would cost allot and you wouldn’t be able to defend it very well.  I tried to do the same thing by moving all the Brits to Java and built an airbase their and my opponent still took it in one turn!

attack round 1 on kwantung, put huge IC there
build 10 inf, and after those 10 keep building tanks and mech inf

No T1 attacks, please, its far too early. Just think about it, do you realy want USA to collect 62 IPC, UK to collect 37 IPC and ANZAC to collect 18 IPC when you still are on less then 30 IPC ?

You need to attack Kwangtung at the same time you attack Phillipines and Malaya. To do this, you will need to take control of FIC in T1, and then move your trannies into position for several attacks. In T1 you only have like 3 trannies. Your best opportunity to attack will be in T3, or maybe in T2. Not later, and not earlyer.

13 is more accurate, malay can be takes round 3
US + 40 is nothnig compared to what they lose
take kwantung with land forces :)
