When planning attacks do you round up or down the number of hits you will get as the attacker and the number of hits the defender will get?

To keep it simple in my head, I round my attacks down and the defenders up. If I am likely to win that way, then I will do the attack if it is minor.

Simply put, attacking 5 armor is 2 hits, defending it would be 3. So I would not attack 5 armor with 5 armor as it is a coin toss and to be safe I favor the worst case to keep me from making rash attacks.

So what do you do when planning in your head?

Round them as you stated and assume that any BB/CA amphibious bombardment will miss (and enemy ones will hit) and at least 1 AA hit, depending on the number of planes.

I’m hoping the IC in Northern France is minor for Germany’s sake; it’ll be an extremely easy IC to SBR from the UK (well within the range of escorts from a UK airbase).  The UK airbase also might put UK and American fighters within range of baltic fleets, but if those straight rules are true the subs will be perfectly safe.  That really kinda lames things up, Germany just has to leave 1 sub in the Baltic.  I just dont think its feasible for Germany to hide a sub with the Naval bases, it’ll be way too vulnerable trying to get across the map and even if it meets up with Japan the US can catch it.

i meant if you attack you can only do 50% damage but defending you can do 100% damage
1damage=1hit
so if you have ten inf and roll 5 2 when defending you can take those hits and damege you indestrey.

No, Larry confirmed it will come with the Europe game- NOs Tech and all in June 2010.

I will confirm it as being the plan last I talked with him.  Now that doesn’t mean that WotC won’t screw it up by doing something else, but even that doesn’t seem likely. :roll:
