Nearly 800 land & sea locations, with terrain effects, Desert, Forest, Marsh, Tundra, Urban, impassable mountains, canals Stacking limit is enforced to help the AI. Only 10 Air & 10 Sea units are allowed per Sea Zone/Territory. Only 20 Land per Territory. AI friendly, no Objectives, or Politics/Technology phases, both are scripted. 79 territories marked to guide the AI for better play. Sea Zones are worth 1-2pu/turn and for Britain and Japan are vital for their survival All land territories bordering Sea Zones can be blockaded. There are no convoy centres/route/zones. Four Lend-Lease-Depots, 3 in USSR Archangelsk, Persian Corridor to Baku, Vladivostok and Burma Road to Yunnan China Four types of HQ Commands, Air, Army, Fleet and Submarine, nations can have between none and five types of a HQ.
These represent Rommel, Montgomery, Patton, Cunningham, Donitz, Nimitz, US 8th Air Force HQs etc. and their staff. Four different type of “Factory” As a minimum requires TripleA 2.6.14517+

Hey Guys,

I saw on Smorey Swamp that Commanders and Tactics WW2 Deck Building Game was played at Gencon. I have been trying to find the game on BGG with no luck. If anyone knows this game and can provide a link that would be awesome.

Has anyone played Combat Commander: Europe? How was the game play? I have read about it on BGG and seem to find that more people than not like it a lot.

If you have ever played Total Annihilation or Total Annihilation Kingdoms, or Supreme Commander 1, check this game out.  Its quite different from the first Supreme Commander but actually runs and I think looks better than the first.  Its an RTS game centered around starting off with practically just one unit, your commander and building a base from there.  Mass and Energy are the only 2 resources but research points are technically a resource now.  You can upgrade your structures, units, and commander to help your efforts of winning.

The franchise is known for having gigantic experimental robots and just dominate everything around them with insane weapons and ramped up abilities.  For example, a artillery cannon that is a factory that launches units instead of shells anywhere on the map.  You can build a gigantic magnet to repel or attract enemy units, depending how your mood is  :mrgreen: .  There are 3 factions in the game, all have for the most part unique units that set them apart.

The unit detail is stunning, parts and pieces on all the objects rotate, fold, collapse, transform, move in and out.  Check it out, it got kinda weak reviews, 78 score overall because everyone wanted the same thing remade from the first game which is kinda arrogant I think.

Elevation favors artillery, if you let it have the high ground. The bases indicate who is the winner when they are the same piece but it is rock-paper-scissors. Pieces are moved simulltaneously so you do not know what piece will end up sharing your space.

I tried the demo for whatever version it is they put up end of August/Beginning of Sept. and was pretty amazed. I hadn’t done any videogame hockey since back in the Intellivision days. It was beautiful looking and I was amazed it all the detail but I’m not really a sports videogamer.

Is this your first one from the series or are you a die hard upgrade every year sort?
