Air units cannot capture a territory (They must land in a territory owned by you at the start of the turn as well)

Tanks can “blitz” through an unnoccupied enemy territory and move on to a 2nd territory and thus capture both in the same turn.

All other ground units only move one space per turn anyway, so obviously One for them.

For the sub, whenever you would roll the dice for your subs you can elect to submerge instead of roll. So if there i no destroyer attacking you can then, as a defending sub, do a surprise attack and roll the dice- or submerge. Basically, if you want to submerge you can do it before the battle starts. UNLESS a destroyer is there.

Yeah, true, what I meant was that the sea zones the transport moves through do not count as spaces for the land units, only the territories where they’re being loaded and offloaded do.

Yes, that’s correct, but it’s also irrelevant to this issue.  If Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom territory, it isn’t a separate space, so whatever touches United Kingdom also touches it.  If it is a separate space, it’s not in play, since it’s not named.  Either way, it doesn’t matter which other spaces touch United Kingdom but not Northern Ireland.

good deal, that’s the way we played it, but the way the printing actually worked out overlapping it coulda helped the German defense of the Med, as would have that UK sz3 thing to protect Karelia.
