CD Rom glitch

I am new to A & A, but I am trying to learn by way of PC. I have run across a problem though. I have gotten through many rounds of the game, and now it freezes up when the UK performs and non-combat move. I have to shut down the computer altogether to start again. Is it the disk or the computer? I tried to call the tech support and the recording gave me a website that is not working. Could anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

Try installing the version 1.33 patch. Hopefully that should fix it. However, if it doesn’t, you’re out of luck. The game will still crash on occasion.

There is also a bug called “unit lock” some times when the game gets a high number of units on the board it freezes. You best bet, like TG said is to get the patch then save often.
