Barring favorable rolls how can the axis win?

Hello,
It is the US’s turn. We are still on turn 1, so the US is the last to go. My mother is Germany and I, Japan. I tried to go into China but got extremely unlucky with no rolls. I did take Pearl Harbor though. What should we, Axis, do next. My original goal was to take China here and fortify. Then I would finish US there and expand west, while also maintaining strong East. Not sure how I can do that now, though. Help.

I disagree. Classic is dirt cheap and so heavily produced it’s like “sealed Monopoly”. Even a sealed AA50 edition is really, really pushing it at $1500. Take a look on Ebay. Even AA50 can be had $250-$500.

The classic rule is IC’s that you do not start with are limited.

So if Ger takes Kar, they can only place 3 on subsequent turns when they maintain control of it at the start of the turn.

IC placement rules are similar to ftr/bmr landing rules.  It can only happen on territories you controlled at the start of the turn, prior to any purchases.

Hmmm…never thought of it, but that actually makes a lot of sense. Hitler threatened to invade Spain if Francisco Franco didn’t sieze Gibraltar (which was eventually made moot when the Allies invaded Morocco before anything could be done). Japan of course had very little respect for neutrality. And Switzerland’s “neutrality”, was indeed strictly enforced–with German-built ME109 aircraft! This is an interesting “historical” house rule…

Exactly, this is a game…the designers spent many hours trying to make this game fair, challenging, diverse, and historically acurate. But you can’t have all it all. I do try new things to spice up the game…what I meant was that the main objectives for true success are basically the same. Travel too far off the beaten trail, and your toast…
