Well I like Axis and Allies: Europe style SBRs. It seems only logical that interceptors and escorts would duel over the skies (though I’m not sure why the ATK/DEF stats aren’t the same) instead of just bombers barreling through AA fire.
@Krieghund Thanks! (For completeness, I should have been more clear in that Germany controlled Persia at the beginning of its turn in this example. i.e. there was/is a legal landing zone for the fighter)
Yea - those Expansions brought tons of fun & challenge.
Since then, we have developed the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion - inspired by and based on those Expansions.
You can find the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion on this forum - and as you read your way through these Expansion rules you’ll recall all the good memories from the early 90’s - and much more.
Buddy had that rule in his 39 game. 2 d6 SBR
Knocked Germany out of game in 2 turns. He had to change it to 1.
Doesn’t g40 have that ? Don’t really know on them games
Wow a whopping six votes. Hold on I want to make sure I counted right. (don’t want a recount demanded).
I kinda thought thats how it would play out. But I do think that Agent orange makes a good point. Then again I suppose I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a game.
