AAP40 FAQ

Its worth getting cause when AAE40 comes out you will want both to play the combined game.  Also the introduction of new rules and units (convoys, declaration of war, air base, naval base, tactical bomber, mechanized infantry) make the game far more enjoyable and adds more depth and breadth to the series, further setting it apart from other board games.

Anyway, I was thinking some UK player might to trigger a Japanese DOW.

…and just trying to proof the FAQ. Bad habit’s die hard.

You can’t trigger war or make someone else trigger war. War is declared at the start of your movement phase.

If the UK and Japan aren’t at war, the UK is free to move unescorted transports through sea zones containing Japanese subs.

I was just trying to point things out tactfully.

In original AA, once had 1 transport  take out 2 fighters without loss. What was odd is the combat took like 6 rounds. 1st fighter wasnt killed until 4th round of combat. Thats a lot of misses from the fighters.

I remember I bought Risk for my 10 yr old son to try. He was doing really, reallly well his first game, then the dice turned against him for the first time.
As the tears welled up in his eyes I thought about what I could say to comfort him. I thought back to all my 20+ years of gaming experience.
All I could think of was: “I 'm sorry. I know it’s unfair, but you’re just going to have to get used to that.”

I greatly appreciate you efforts here.  I think you should post these over at www.boardgamegeek.com.  Others have made charts like these; but these are by far the best I’ve seen so far.

AA 1940 Pacific has been released for 18 Days (Not 1 month as someone said, closer to a 1/2 month).

Let’s see if this question changes over the weeks/months.

Its this kind of developer support to the fans that will keep me with A&A year after year. If only other game companies would take the time to do something as simple as a statement like this then table top gaming would be in such a better place. Territory next to india might be packistan (incorrect nomiclature for 1940) or Kashmir, or some other goofy name……

Larry does what he wants basicly…but I hope Iran (persia) is axis neutral.
