The unloading action is what stops a transport’s movement capability, whether you bridge and not move, load and move one space to unload or load and move 2 spaces to unload, etc etc.

I do have one question concerning US not yet at war. Say Japan is still only at war w/China in the 2nd round. The UK/US have moved ships to say sz 43 (Borneo). Japan attacks the UK (unprovoked) in sz 43 immediately bringing the UK/Anzac into the war. This act is also considered a Dec of War w/US as well.

Can Japan still ignore the US ships there, or does this attack also mean you must attack the US ships because your intent will bring the US into the war (like now having to declare a convoy attack on your turn). It will also make a difference if you can bombard Borneo as well if there are no UK surface war ships, only US surface war ships in the sz.

Japan may declare war on UK/ANZAC only and ignore any US ships in the sea zone.  Of course, this means that Japan will be unable to atack any US forces or territories that turn.  The US will then be eligible to declare war on Japan on its next turn.

Whenever a carrier is attacked, its planes are assumed to be launched and defending in the air.  This is not optional.  If the carrier is hit, the planes can’t land on the carrier and must find another place to land within one space or be lost.

The only way that planes can be trapped on board a damaged carrier is if there are planes belonging to an ally on an attacking carrier.  Since it’s not their turn, the planes remain on the carrier as cargo rather than participate in the battle.  If the carrier is damaged during the attack, these “guest” planes will be trapped (unable to take off) until the carrier is repaired. If the carrier is attacked while still damaged, the planes will remain cargo.  They will be unable to launch and defend, and will be lost if the carrier is sunk.

Excuse me if this has been covered somewhere before, but I’m a newbie on this forum, and cant seem to find it.  
Question:  On turn J1 or J2…Japan has not and does not DOW anyone.  If the Japanese attack an un-occupied(never occupied by UK or ANZAC) Dutch territory, the UK and ANZAC consider that an act of war.  Because of this would the US be able to declare war on Japan on US1 or US2?  Answer:  I say no, because Japan did not declare war on UK or ANZAC.  But it is kinda fuzzy and I can see a possible argument for the other side of this…ie…Japan committed an act of war.

Japan must declare war on UK/ANZAC to invade a dutch colony.  Upon declaring war with UK/Anzac the US immediately declares war on Japan.

You can only invade a dutch colony without provoking US involvment if UK or Anzac attack Japan first.
