Can only add that my anticipation is of the level that it makes me jittery. :-o
What I have learned from doing COMBAT DICE and CONNECT HEX is that you should never announce a release date. Whatever the factory tells you… add a few months. We have given them a Jan 1st deadline to have all of ITALY completed. After that I am hoping to have one more nation a month.
So if you have seven nations (France included) and one extra mould for the “extras” that is eight months. Of course this could be sooner as the factory should be able to do the other seven moulds faster than the first.
We are in the second last stage of this project. The laying down of the final moulds. Once this is complete I will have REAL physical samples to show you all and will be able to give you a production timeline.
My business partner who is working on this daily tells me 100% this will be complete in 2010… We are aiming for summer. I would like to have this shipping just after the release of AAE40.
OMG I just found this project/thread and read through 51 pages. I’ve been looking for updated plastic pieces (sculpts, chips, factories) for my AA games for a really long time! The good thing is i didn’t know about this project prior to last night and I don’t have to wait all those months leading up till now. And thank god I didn’t buy from other places like WOTC or assembling my own from GHQ which would have been extremely costly.
This project is amazing! I will definitely order at least three sets. I can’t wait!

Well their will be too infantry types so i am assuming one of them will look like a marine with a flamethower or M1 Carbine.

Or let me put it this way : They should include one elite unit for each nation, with a slightly different color. This elite units act as both marines, paratroopers, mountain units and ski-troops.
USA get Marines of course.
UK get Commandoes.
Germany get Fallschirmjaegers (paratroopers)
Japan get Imperial Marines.
Russsia got Ski-troops.

FMG, Any guesstimate on when the “battle box” thing you mentioned earlier might be ready? (Yes, guys, I know Plano gear can get the job done, but since between all the WotC, TT, Xeno & Eagle Games pieces I’m already storing in Plano containers, I’ve already got a mountain of them and have used at least one of everything they make, I think… it would be “totality of awesomeness” to have a container package for all of this “awesomeness” that stands out from the pack as much as it looks as thought the product itself will…)

We will start work on that once we have the pieces finished. We need to know how big and how many compartments it will need for each nation.

I just joined because of this thread and had to see the pics, good job FMG!!! whenever they comes it’ll be worth the wait!
In regards to the Technology pieces, I think FMG should wait for the global 1940 game to come out so we know what the techs are. After France and ANZAC, do India, so we can have a seperate India player. Then Spain and Turkey…maybe Finland, but that’s pushing it. :wink:
I dont think India, spain, turkey, and finland had enough unquie equipment to do a whole set. Finnish weaponry is all from the germans and in the global game India is going to be part of the UK player not their own nation. Maybe FMG could just produce a set of a dozen or so with different nationalties of unquie infantry peices for all the neutrals on the board.
