OK, so here’s the scoop:
I had to close our turn while I waited for your reply because I wouldn’t be able to play my other games (as far as I know) while ours was sitting open. I thought I’d be able to edit everything to reflect our results and OOLs, but it turns out I couldn’t. The only thing I could do was start the fight over from the beginning. The second time I unfortunately hit 3 instead of 2, so I finished the rolls (you hit 1), and then retreated because as far as I’m concerned the fight was no longer fair or valid at that point. During “edit” I returned your destroyer to you, so that you lost only the 2 subs as per your request.
In the end it works out in your favour. You get to keep your navy and I’ll undoubtedly lose mine, so despite my ineptitude with computers I think everything is now fair and square.
In the future I’ll have to ask for OOLs before the dice are rolled.
