I resign, congrats, even if I take Egypt I’m still doomed on too many other places, well done.

Good luck in the next round.

  • '17 '16 '15 '12

    Thx.

You are such a tough opponent, I really tried to make life as miserable for you as I could. And I acknowledge that over the game I really had dice on my side more often than you. Not dramatically so all the time, but consistently with better outcomes (and you have been distracted, lately, surely :) ). Not that all was luck, we sure made also better and worse decisions. When you didnt block my transported UK artillery for Finland for that one turn, I thought I finally had a breakthrough.

As always, you have been a gracious opponent with impeccable sportsmanship.

Well, life was pretty miserable for me all over, so that worked out well. Dice were indeed skittish with me, I think all over it might have been equal (well, probably not, I guess like 5-10% better for you), but it concentrated on the battles that mattered somehow (for example not taking Volgograd twice, costing Ger 14 PU’s).

The distraction ain’t such a problem, as I was allready behind before that happened, just didn’t find a way to get back in to it. The Ita 1 attack hurt me a lot, since it was a dicey adventure and the dice were really against me that turn, perhaps a little more patience would serve me well…

I like the way you kept me small in Asia, I have no idea what you did, but it worked out well. When I find time (and find myself wanting) to play G40 again I’ll look at this beforehand and try to figure out what you did that kept me on my toes the whole time.

Good luck in the next round!
