Thanks guys. But why is it when planes that are defending when are from an AC. If the AC is destroyed or damaged. The planes are only allowed to move one space and takes two moves to get to an island or land in most cases.
Game balance and playability, considering the defender generally enjoys the advantage and this encourages suicidal sub strikes in hopes of destroying undefended (or lightly defended/escorted) carriers. But if you need a reason: it’s because your aircraft are essentially performing CAP duties while it’s not your turn (which is why they’re aloft when a sub sneak attacks, and not stuck on the carrier). As a result, they’re all low on fuel, of course.
