Destroyers delay the removal of sub casualties, allowing them to fire back in their normal step even if they are hit by a sub. However, both attacking and defending subs always fire in the Opening Fire step, so a defending sub will return fire even if it is hit, regardless of the presence of destroyers. This is because fire within a step is simultaneous. In effect, the presence of a destroyer only affects the ability of surface vessels to return fire when hit by subs.
Question about FOE
-
I really like FOE as a dice site, much better than DAAK. But i’ve been having trouble figuring out how to download the map as a file to be opened with Abattlemap. Every time I try to download the map, it saves it as a .php file called “module” which cant be opened by ABattlemap. I dont think I am actually downloading the right file… its too small. Anyone got any advice? I’ve tried everything, but I jsut cant figure it out.

When you download the file, change the ending to .map or .aam. If it is a 2nd edition game, change it to .map. If it is an AAR game change it to .aam. Then you will be able to open the file from your “file” menu in AABattlemap.
