Are we allowed to play again? I know we did a re-match, but i am trying to get better. I like playing you, i am learning a ton… Specially with the Axis, which is my weak link.

I don’t have a hard and fast rule. Depends on the prize for winning vs losses. If its good enough I can attack at 30% or even less. TBH, I pay more attention to the TUV swing than the win % and even that is misleading when damaged CVs come into it, or defending bombers etc.

I don’t have a hard and fast rule. Depends on the prize for winning vs losses. If its good enough I can attack at 30% or even less. TBH, I pay more attention to the TUV swing than the win % and even that is misleading when damaged CVs come into it, or defending bombers etc.
One more comment I’ll make on this one. I have learnt to think about what will happen if the attack goes against me - if I retreat will my units be able to be picked off and thus I’ll need to continue anyway or am I likely to be able to hold the position I’ve retreated to?
If I make a good attack which goes bad I don’t get too upset about it. It’s part of the game and you have to deal with it.

Simon, treat me like a 1st grader. Explain TUV swing and the concept itself to me :-D

If I attack a DD with a sub and both die, I have lost a 6IPC unit while the defender has lost an 8IPC unit. That’s a 2 IPC swing in my favour. TUV = Total Unit Value.
Of course, if I win and live, that’s an 8IPC swing or lose and the sub lives, that’s a -6IPC swing to me.
For example, in SZ110, without a scramble the calculator tells me you will benefit by an average 38 TUV swing if I don’t scramble. But only a 22 TUV swing if I do.
Scramble 110.
In 111, I will benefit by about 3TUV but I can use that fighter for Taranto or another attack so a 3TUV swing doesn’t necessarily justify losing a fighter.
No scramble in 111.
