Oh right, but I get to see how many hits you score before I have to decide that. You should have rolled the first set of dice before asking.
But if the sub hits first round, dent the CV. If that happens, lose ftrs, then Max D. In fact, this is a bug triple-A. If there’s a DD subs fire with all other units.
If I take 4+ hits, lose CV + 2ftrs. If I take 3 or less hits, lose the sub, DD then cruiser.

I apologize i meant nothing by that. I will roll the first round, then post here for you to see… I am not very up to par with terminology or when or when not to do things. I thought what i was doing was kind of crazy but i suppose now. Yes, i know about that fighter to Italy, i think i just plain forgot, no idea why :-D
