sz 110 is feasible and sz 111 is as well.
France rolled really well. However, if you would not of split with southern france and paris attack on one turn it might of been more efficient.

I had this exact same thing happen to me in Mr Roboto’s game. I extended myself to try to take Southern just like you did. I ended up winning that game. Italy took France and became a powerhouse. If it happens again don’t be so discouraged and play the game out a few rounds to see.

Thanks, Cyanight. You make excellent points No question I did blow my top there somewhat. It’s pretty cool that you were able to defeat a guy of Mr. Roboto’s skill level even after losing in France G1.
Interestingly, we both pursued almost the exact same attack plan with Germany. I would note, however, that all my battles were pretty much disasters: I got wiped out in S France, too, and didn’t take it, either; I got wiped out in sz 106 and still left UK with a transport, and I took a heavy beatin’ in sz 111 while hardly making a dent in the UK’s fleet. Throw that in with the complete debacle in France and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry :-D
Nonetheless, it’s poor form to quit like that. The best way to learn how to deal with adversity is to actually play it out, because as you’ve noted, it can be done. So your advice is well appreciated. :-)
