  • beginning to realize how broken LL is for German march on Russia…all I should’ve done as Axis was march in a straight line haha…perhaps LL with balanced mod is a better combo to get the best of both worlds


  • LL doesn’t change anything other than lowering the luck factor.  unless you hope to win against 80-90% huge battle for the attacker, LL wouldn’t save you. like if you want to make a stand at bryansk, it’s still a 95% battle for me. only reason why I want LL is because I am 100% convinced marti’s dice engine is flawed. I lose way too many 95-98% battles than odds suggest. I not only lose high odds battle, but lose them in spectacular fashion.

    it’s hard to defend russia, but it can be done. I get stuck with allies 80% of the time but still win most of my games with the allies. I didn’t before, but now I think allies +20 should be the standard and allies should not accept less against a good player. if you see germany going all out against russia, you also have to go all out to defend it. that’s the only shot. that means you make sacrifices elsewhere.


  • I agree about Marti’s dice server, but I do think LL makes decision making too easy…“I know doing this won’t end it disaster so I only have to send X units”…and I’m not talking about losing 98% battles, I’m talking about having a 60% chance to take a territory with enough land units surviving, so this should work only a little more than half the time…but LL makes it so that you can nearly guarantee being able to do something like that over and over
