Japan: 556 +26 income
USA: 203 +17 income
UK: 106 +16 income
ANZAC: 84 +10 income
China: 61 +12 income

yeah. Keep in mind that japan had 8 more planes than the allies.

I still call it luck. Grumble

I have a question. I think, since Japan has no navy at ALL in the Dutch East Indies I can have ANZAC send its submarine fleets to disrupt convoys there. But I’m not sure exactly how convoy disruptions work. It said it can’t exceed the combined IPC value of all adjacent territories or islands in the disrupted sea zone.

So if I had 4 submarines in SZ42, the most amount of IPC I can destroy is 19 IPCs (3 from Malaya, 4 from Sumatra, 4 from Java, 4 from Boreno, 3 from Celebes)?

Z42 only borders Java, so you can only disrupt Java for 4 ipcs

I pity your Jap player

In my second game Japan overran India by turn four. China lived to turn 7. That’s with the first turn income NO boost. Japan owned the Dutch East Indies for a good while. It’s income matched US/ANZAC put together and it was a nail biter for a good while with Australia repulsing attacks. He finally made a tactical error with his navy that allowed the economic seesaw to finally move towards the allies. With the DEI, China, and India Japan has an income in the mid-70s.

Besides- if China is at war with Japan since 1937 and gets 6 bonus IPC for having the Burma road open - and it’s open to start. Why not? And the scramble rule as is is not popular either.

I have seen it very very even. I played two games and I am 2-0, one with allies and one with Japan. Both against very good but not spectacular opponents (Im not great but I can be creative and level headed). The games were slugmatches from the very beginning.
Both games were won and lost in China and the victor was able to play a better game of cat and mouse with their American/Japanese navy. Its probably the best and most balanced axis and allies expierence I have had.

Its this kind of developer support to the fans that will keep me with A&A year after year. If only other game companies would take the time to do something as simple as a statement like this then table top gaming would be in such a better place. China is irrelevant. J1 attack takes away so much $ from the UK / US with territories and bonuses that the US +40 is really a +20 or so net, and who cares about the US being able to buy a carrier extra that isn’t going to be anywhere important for 2 turns?
