Did you see the failed Italy attempt in north persia 2 turns back? That was also kinda harsh, since had it worked, Ger could’ve taken Iraq… And I still had some bad luck saved up from Ita/Ger turns 1/2/3 (don’t remember exactly), so it all evens out in the long run (but then again, that’s the really long run, no guarantee it will even out in this game) ;-)

In SZ 25, I assume you wanted to take the US DD’s hit on the BB. So I went to edit mode, clicked on the BB, clicked on Change Unit Hit Damage, and changed the BB’s status to 1 hit (damaged).
