After thinking about this a bit, I don’t really see any reason to drag it out, regardless of how much it pains me to resign in round 6 :) The next round opponent is waiting so you may as well get to it.

It was a conscious decision to take extra risks to try to make up for the high bid and my deficit in skill level, so I can’t really be too upset about how it turned out. I botched Japan again as well, which tends to happen when I play experienced players, so thanks for that lesson!
