we took a break of few weeks after nerquen beat me again. ;)

Now we try next alteration… G1 was super successful… so we have to see whats gonna happen next…

I hope the current set of house rules can make for a good balanced game, but as Elrood said, G1 was quite successful so Allies might have troubles again. Also, Elrood just fell in love with Allies and I have not played Allies for couple iterations, I have to kick his butt hard so he let me play Allies next.

That is funny about Elrood and the Allies. I am the same, because I want to win with them. Al so pissed off that the Axis have a winning strategy, which is hard to break. Otherwise have always been a German playing lover (as far back as 87).

As far as I understand it… before Global 1940 2nd Edition came out, playing Germany was always like trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to change the course of history.

E.g. A&A 1942 was so brutal on Axis… we never managed to win with them…

I think it is a good one. The major effect in our games was that planes from W Germany cannot reach so far to south MED and cannot land in Egypt….  Rome still typically manages to defend without help from W Germany but USA did not put as much pressure on that front…

Thanks for the reply.  Not being able to reach Egypt is definitely a significant impact. Might force a Italian retreat to wait for German air, provided the Brits didn’t take them out B1. Sounds like a good improvemnt.
