Help! error message when starting A&A

I receive the following message error when I try to start my A&A game:
LIB_InitVideo: ERROR 0x00000001 Can’t Initialize the COM libraryI have no idea what it means…I’ve unistalled and reinstalled both the game and the patches but it still won’t work…any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 video card?
