By adding in AA and TRN, and by tweeking the scales, we cover all the way to 10,000 posts

Switch, you forgot fighter in your list. And while we are on the subject. Heavy bomber is a tech. Since you are including techs, why not add rockets, super subs, and jet fighters? That could cover you to about 20k or 30k posts.

just put subs where transports are and then replace teh trn with a fig. but wait until i reach 499 posts to do this :-D

The older versions of the game (Hasbro CD-ROM, Milton Bradley board game) are in the “Axis and Allies” section (no extension names such as Revised, Europe, etc.)

Thanks! Yes, besides the old-timey version, I’ve been playing the revised edition since it was released - not to be sacreligious, but I prefer it to the original. I also have the europe, pacific and d-day versions, though haven’t played that often yet.

I am a Revised convert myself.  Played Classic in college, switched to revised about this time last year (yep, I have ONLY been playing revised for a YEAR!)

I think it’s easy to become converted - love the new rules, pieces, board layout territories and sea zones. …finding myself between hobbies, I started painting pieces, developing rules and variants - basically lots of stuff except playing! (something I should probably change)…

Well, as many of you know, I have a triple set of pieces and I have my units stored in a drawer organizer.

I do have a drawer I NEVER open.  It contains…
6 Russian DSTs
6 Russian BBs
6 Russian ACs

One of these days I AM going to open that drawer in a game… and shock the shite out of my opponent!

I have a warm spot in my heart for the mighty russian bb - My first game (old A&A), my cousin bought a Russian battleship (which would be bad enough - but hey, he had exactly 24IPC’s, so it made the math easy). The bigger problem was that he didn’t control the IC in the Karelia. My other cousin (not coincidentally the German player) made him place it in the landlocked Caspian sea south of the Russia IC. …There it remained as expensive board decoration for the rest of the game.
