Oh quite. It seems that 32bit Windows doesn’t allow Java to use more than 1100MB or so.
Painful.
Yes, 32-bit Windows has some RAM limitations/restrictions.
How do I go about reworking a game’s mechanics and such for TripleA? I know I can edit pieces and IPCs, but how do I use the actual map editor so I can change more things?
when you start up triplea go to engine prefrences
If you really want to alter game-mechanics, in other words create a mod, you have to alter the XML-File in the map-folder.
To do this open it with a program, I prefer Notepad++ (free download), and change what you want.
The XML of map PactofSteel2 has almost every game-possibility explained, so is like a modding-guide.
http://triplea.sourceforge.net/mywiki/Forum has lots of threads about modding and people who can help out if you get stuck.
