  • The main differences I can see are:

    • Lots more units
    • DEI are all UK or Anzac’s
    • France, French Africa & Syria are G’s
    • FIO is J’s
    • Changes in fleet positioning, such as J fleet off Midway

    No change to NOs, rules or unit rostas?

    Always happy to give anything a go and this might be a laugh.

    But I would personally like to play allies in the 1942 variant first. I started our last game believing the axis Europe starting situation was unwinnable!

    Perhaps we simply swap sides - Seb and I as allies.

    Then a couple of games of this new variant, where I partner with Mark, as each side?

    Can’t do it unless everyone is up for it Leo.

    The thought wasn’t to rub noses in anything, but to gain a fuller understanding of the variant before moving on. For example my snap judgement on the European axis was presumably wrong and I would like to find out.

    But, as I say, we can only play what everyone wants. So to reiterate my previous posting - I am happy to give anything a go.

    The goal of this mod was to give a more balanced 1940 experience. With some added historical forces

    (burning BB is the famous Bismarck) and Rommel finally has his tanks in Africa.
