    Forgot to move the Kwangtung army on Non Com to Yunnan, I edited them into place in the save above.

    I admit, I was a little caught off guard there, thought there would be maybe another round or two before the India pocket got all nutso! hehe

    Japan bought 3 artillery a fighter and bomber, to keep up the pressure.

    Anyways, look forward to checking how the Americans and Russians handle the play. I see the UK is getting their fighter wall up and running. Looks like fun!

    I am wondering why the strategic bombing raid does 2 damage. Isn’t it LHTR bomber? aka 2+2=4 damage?

    It’s a good question. I can’t recall if it was specified in the tournament rules, but I know by default 1942.2 has the OOB SBR, and if you want LHTR you have to click a box in the options menu before the game starts.

    Maybe ask Darth Maximus in the discussion thread? Or check some other games to see how people are handling SBR. We can get confirmation before I play Germany, so I know how much damage is on Berlin. If its supposed to be LHTR SBR, then I can edit the +2 damage before I purchase. Just let me know what you disccover.

  • Sorry to spy guys, but I have two slow games on and a 6 year old watching Snow White.
    PP and I played just D6; not D6 +2 (which I have not heard of anyway). No interceptors either.
    Is powerful enough as D6, I think.

    Yeah, we’ve been using D6.  Not D6+2.  I wasn’t even aware of another option.

    We’ve been using the default, so the damage will be whatever is rolled on the die (or dice) up to maximum damage per factory.

    Well that wasn’t exactly the German turn I was hoping for.  :-D

    Not sure what compelled me to SBR, it wasn’t really my plan to begin with, but I guess your American raid had me riled up demanding a response, or maybe it was Ukraine. Now I rather wish I’d stayed in place with the Luftwaffe. Didn’t get much in exchange for the opening I just allowed. The Western Allies in the Atlantic will be harder to dislodge. But I suppose those are the breaks.

    At least that bomber paid for himself before he went down, with the early DD strike and the Carrier kill. Alas, his Iron Crosses are now trophies for some Ruskie AA gunner! hahah.

  • Thanks you, sir. Good job from Russian flak crew indeed. That really gives allies a little bit of hope for the time being. Have to do something in Atlantic theater, otherwise, it will just be a matter of time before Russia falls down  cos Russia is under overwhelming pressure from both sides. It seems Larry Harris made it a lot more difficult in Atlantic theater for allies in this version than Revised version.

    Yeah for sure, compared to previous A&A boards, it feels like everything in Atlantic takes a round longer to set up as the Allies. Fortunately for me, Axis can afford to take some losses.

    My early move out will stall me up undoubtedly. Typically Axis will stack Belo and Yunnan for another round or two, in order to bring more fodder to the front, before making the big push. Belo aircraft in particular can force the Brits to wait even longer to build ships, but of course I predictably ignored my own sound advice and rushed in early haha.

    Should be fun though. I enjoy a game where the stakes are high.
