@StreblaX You must have missed it. I don’t have the rulebook at hand at the moment. But you will find how to roll for battles in the Combat Sequence description (Conduct Combat Phase) . Actually in this edition there is only one unit that needs more than one hit to be destroyed, that is the battleship (2 hits). You will find this information in the respective Unit Characteristics description.
Quick question

Just wanted to ask, lets say your Germany and you have made it to the gates of Moscow, ready to roll the dice to start the big battle. lets say you bring you bomber in for a strategic bombing raid incase the attack fails to make sure Russia cant build anything out of the factory.
lets say the attack is succesfull and you plunge Moscow. At this point, Russia is German territory, so would you technically be doing a bombing raid on your own territory?

Typically bombing raids precede battles. In practice, unless you’re using the optional escort/intercept rules it doesn’t really matter the order in which you run the raid, since SBR is a combat move you have to declare/commit to it before the combat phase proper (e.g. rolling.)

Black_Elk is right about the rules.
In terms of strategy, yeah, you’re quite likely to wind up damaging your own factory! That’s why it’s almost always better to send the bomber to attack a capital, rather than send it to bomb a capital. The bomber will be a big help in almost any battle. If you’re trying to take a capital and have a huge battle, you want to give yourself every edge you can – it’s no time for hedging your bets.

Thx for the replies :-D
