Conquer Russia at last!  Too late though.

Well played!  The match was lot of fun and unexpected moment.  I feel there is chance but the trapping of Japan Navy kicked me out of the game.

Where did all of our units go!  :-D

Good game and well played too!  That was a fun game.  :-)
Yeah, if Japan stayed in a little longer or if Russia fell a bit sooner the Axis had a chance.
Lucky for me I was able to get to Japan and get the US rolling.

You did some great moves!  I didn’t foresee your moves on tracking my Japan Navy down, and that’s my key mistake.  Well done and I learned out of it :-D

I guess you are pretty busy in Tournament - let me know when you like to have rematch again :-D I will be there

Thanks!  And thanks for the games!  It is good to know some US strategies from Revised or AA50 might carry over.  :)

That is the hardest part, trying to limit Japan’s moves to where you can predict where they are going to go.  It gets a little easier if you force them back up north.  And depending on the situation the US can put reinforcements off of the West Coast and you can try and trap the IJN that way.  Your pressure on Russia was too good so I had to keep my main fleet close to the Asian coast so I could get ftrs to Mos, but if you can take a few islands and have Ftrs + Carriers you start to get an incredible range in the Pacific with the US.

Sometimes the J navy will escape to the Med or Atlantic which can be good for Germany, but without the ships near Japan the US can then start landing on Man or bombarding Japan to wear them down.  You can also use SBRs to limit J’s income if you have them boxed in and go after Germany if Russia is in trouble.

Yeah I’d be up for another, but I might not do a turn until the weekend.
I’ve been the Allies in the first 2 so I’m open to either side.  I’m open to a bid or if we want to do a Russian bomber game or even another straight up game.  I guess it depends on which side do you want to be, should we go third game same sides maybe add the Russian bomber or should we switch up sides?

You are totally right.  Once US takes the island and keep it,  it becomes an incredibly hard game for Japan.
I could do either way, depending on which sides you like to practice more for Tournament :-)  Let me know and I will suggest with a bid (if it is allies).

Sounds good.  Let me think about it.

  • Moderator

I was thinking about it and I wouldn’t mind giving the Allies another go if you still have time for another game.

  • '19 '18 '17 '16 '15

Sure - please go ahead with your desired bid.

    :-D

    Sounds good.

    I was thinking maybe 9.

2 Inf to Kar  (for added fodder to protect against an extra German hit or two in Wrus)
1 Inf to Egy  (to try and keep the UK ftr around)

If this looks good I can start up a new thread and then get R1 up either tonight or tomorrow.

    Sure - please go ahead.
