    “Blocking the US out of SZ 6 for one turn is often as simple as putting 1 Japanese destroyer in SZ 16 …” Yes - that was my plan - I just got the move wrong! And that was without being intoxicated!

    “ANZAC replacing TTs all day long …” did depend on US naval protection where necessary. The US does the can openers to allow ANZAC though and provides fleet defence. That’s been my previous experience as Japan anyway.

    The group is pretty okay. There’s a few solid dudes, and a couple of guys that just like to hang out more than they like the high strategy of the game, so they don’t learn as quickly as they otherwise could. What do they think this is, a fucking game?

    I’ve only been intoxicated for a couple of my moves for this go particular match. I’m too old to be able to be drunk on a weeknight and still be able to work the next day.

    I’ll take my turn when I get home in four hours.

    And yeah, it’s a pretty decent little play-through so far. I’m interested to see how the next couple of turns play out.

    Sadly, it might not be tonight. I took the turn in Zexcis and I’s game (because I thought I was close to winning, before that motherfucker 1%'d me in Moscow, go check it out, that asshole) and haven’t had time to sit down again since, and it’s getting close to bed time.

    Tomorrow at lunch I am talking with coworkers about strategy for an A&A G40 game, which we then go and play that night, I won’t get home until late.

    It might be Thursday before I update again. Sorry to hold us up, because this game just got pretty god damn interesting. America is in a really tough position to make some kind of usable headway into Europe, or must consider going back to the Pacific, and Russia has about a 75% chance to fall to Germany not next turn, but the turn after, assuming you do what I’m afraid you’re going to do. I’m not happy about that. And I’m also not happy I built too many artillery last round. I shouldn’t have done 9, I don’t know what I was thinking. It should have been mostly infantry. Them’s the breaks.

    That’s mostly because I thought we were one turn later in the progression than we were when I said that. Wooooops.

    No, Russia looks fine for Germany. Buy bombers on your next turn to protect the sea as well as to kill Moscow, and don’t do anything silly like splitting up your troops, and you have great odds on taking Moscow. If you don’t want to risk it, even if it’s slightly in your favor, there’s always the option of swinging south, and Britain is not in a position to do much to stop you.

    All that is assuming the dice don’t screw you, mind you.
