oops wish i had looked at a map. what you did was actually illegal. you needed to attack one of the destroyers if you wanted to make this move because you need to demonstrate that you at least had a chance to land the ftr if it survived. to demonstrate such, you need to attack one of the destroyers for at least one round. that way, the acc would have a chance to get to 95 and catch the plane since you technically made the effort to kill a destroyer that was blocking it. It’s a little know rule - the combat move must demonstrate a chance for the acc to reach 95.
