The S is for Spring 42.2 and the 01 is for round 1. Hopefully that will make it easier to spot.
But how do I know which side we are if we gotta bid first? That is why I made my S01 Player A vs Player B
Bid via PM rather than the thread and start the thread when you know who is playing which side?

Heavily dice aided. Russia was hit hard and UK rolled terrible leaving Germany in an incredibly strong position.

We are continuing in the game thread with a new game just for fun. But the official result is in.
Really a tough break.
Game over on G1? Balanced.
It was a horrible set of dice. It happens. And it could have happened to either side.
It’s extremely unfortunate but it is not unique to 42.2E. As Germany you can just as easily lose the Sz 11 or Sz 7 battle and your BB in Sz 14 or 17, attack Egy and get no hits only to watch UK get 3. I’ve had G40 games end in rd 1 b/c Germany lost in its attempt to take Fra and it just made the rest of the game no longer fun. I’ve had Classic games end cause Germany lost its bomber to the stupid Transport off of Canada on G1. Revised and AA50 were not immune for bad round 1 dice-ings. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone Pearl Heavy in Revised or AA50 and gotten no hits and US blasts you. It really sucks when it happens. And in a friendly game you say lets just restart and you do.
They are rare cases and statistical outliers, but they happen. It’s a dice game. I’m sure we all have our share of bad beats in rd 1 or 2.
I see we have 6 game threads going.
I know rmorel will be out for a little longer, I think that leaves Black_Elk and MagicQ as the other game.

I dropped some lines for rmorel by pm to let him know, that we’re not in a hurry. I’ll wait for his wake-up call.
I got a pm from Magic Q a few days ago, asking for a few more days to review the rules.
As Germany you can lose all the naval battles out the gate and you would just end up with a FAIR game.

Although I might still lose on my first match as Allies :cry:…I still think Allies can compete with Axis :lol:. Adding a bomber to Russia is quite helpful and give Russia a lot more flexibility…
Wait until Germany hit West Russia with everything they have +5 fig and 1 bmb. of course, the 6 AA will miss… Game over!
