witt - am I US, UK & UK Pacific? Also - I thought you disabled science/technology usually? Or are we playing this add-on in this game.

Not sure how I can edit the save file itself so I’ll just leave it as it is and suck it up on not utilising the northern sub. And the fighter in Norway. And the battleship. All good learnings for next time…
Is it me or is it much harder to use all your units on TripleA compared to on a real board? Anyways…
When you say the channel I presume you mean SZ109 so more Irish Sea/Bristol Channel as there is nothing to attack in the channel itself?
I’ve scrambled the fighters accordingly.
Next question how do we deal with selecting casualties? I’m resolving the France battle and have scored 7 hits in the first attack round (the AA guns missed). Presume you would go for the AA gun followed by the 6 infantry but what’s the usual protocol on this?

With regard to casualties, is usually ok to go with what the AI takes. Just use your discretion and think what you would like to be left with, if the situation were reversed. (Naval battles with Carriers and no where to lane a plane, needs to be thought out, as AI always takes he Carrier first and that might not be best.)Sometimes the other player, might swap a unit, if the battle was a defensive victory and only went one round.
Just be kind and honest. Can always ask afterwards, if you are unsure if you did the right thing. Usually the other player will be fine with your choice. We are friends and I am cool with things. -

Note: if Japan Attacks Amur or Any other Russian territory bordering Mongolia, then you will trigger Mongolia joining Russia. Russia will receive the Mongolian 6 Inf units.
Equally, if Russia attacks Korea or Manchuria, then I (Russia) will never receive the 6 Mongolian Inf and Japan is then free to Attack those Mongolian bordered Russian territories, without triggering the Inf joining Russia.
Some Attack those territories, regardless. Just wanted you to be aware. -

Dukla, please do your go again. You must attack China, especially Yunnan. If China holds that, it gets a 6 NO. China must be pushed hard, if Ja pan is to have any chance.
If you think Japan is too overwhelming, we can swap and I can leave my insolent Private dangling. You could take Russia and Anzac/France instead. Just download G1 and redo Russia. It is not at war with anyone, so you can only do NOn Combat, until Germany or Italy attacks you.
Might be a better idea. -
Happy with the swap if Dukla wishes. I know I am still struggling with J in my second game against Witt.
Not sure it would help though as Dukla and I would almost certainly lose as the allies given no bid. Dukla and Cred as axis was supposed to afford an advantage to them.
But whatever Dukla decides, the game is not about winning. It is about enjoying the journey and getting better at it.
I also hope that this nervous beginning might in the future lead to a regular (annual?) face-to-face game between the four of us.
