hahaha yea i’ve been in oscillation as well.
well, i think this game has been a tuv vs ipc kind of game, where you’ve been trading off a fair amount of the former to attain advantage in the latter. it’s also been a very positional game, with axis making some gradual progress and getting pushed back now and then, or losing some ground only to gain other areas (losing china coast but gaining inland, for ex).
i do feel i have the momentum now, having taken control of all of persia, eliminated some of that extra russian income, having bombed russia successfully again, and now swooping through inland china. having said that, your russia is enormous, your norway presence is huge, iraq is stacked enormously, your africa well guarded, and you’re entrenched in java.
now for your thoughts on the game so far

you mentioned earlier about your one mistake. i’ve been meaning to mention one of my mistakes that sticks out a lot in my mind, which was being careless about s.africa earlier in the game…for some odd reason, my brain did not register those extra american units in fwa, and so i thought you wouldn’t be able to take it with just the 3 inf. what was i thinking?? had i appropriately registered the threat, i could’ve sent my 3 mechs, dropped 3 tanks, and flown in some of my air as needed. there was no good reason to allow the small american commando force to take it like that.

If it makes you feel better ( :-P ) I spent a decent amount of time thinking if I should actually go for it, since it was probably a suicide mission for the tps.
I thought it really didn’t look good for the Allies when you forced me off Persia and took the red African territories. Now it’s looking a bit better for the Allies since Germany can’t make any more gains anywhere even if it sent everything towards it. Germany is still holding back 3 huge Allied armies, which is pretty impressive. They did need Japan’s help for it, but it paid off immensely.
I feel like it’s useless to buy in the Pacific with US considering what I’m achieving there (island fiascos included), but if I start to slack off you may drop a couple carriers every turn and quickly overwhelm the US and Anzac.
In any case, it seems like this one isn’t close to being over.

I don’t think you had a sub that could reach, your sub(s) were in 80 at the time.

if you haven’t started R yet, could u hold off till after i have a chance to double check things over? i’m feeling a bit uneasy about something but i don’t know what it is, and i’m too busy getting ready for guests coming over to look at it now. in fact i won’t be able to do japan until most likely tomorrow sometime. sorry for the delay, i know it’s an intensely good game and we’re both eager to get to some major battles lol

Lol we’ve only had a handful of battles involving more than 10 units, that’s why our TUVs are through the roof. A major battle is long overdue.
