  • sorry I did not explain the Russo Japanese Pact. If you invade a Russain territory bordering Mongolia, Mongolia joins Russia. If I invade a Japanese territory bordering japan or Korea, MOngolia will revert to a Strict Neutral and I will never get its troops, unless yoy invade MOngiolia.

    AAA is silly. YOu need to DW on UK to take any Dutch territory.

  • The idea was to give you a difficult one - Cruiser + DD + G fighter already there vs 2 fighters + 1 DD is how I remember it.

    The best thing It could do to help G in the UK?

    BTW - latest thought on G in UK is to see it through and take the R attack ……

  • I am sure the fleet is  safe. Just wanted you to be happy. Can’t build a TT with Italy’s meagre money, then lose it.

    I think you have to try a Sealion now. You are committed. Might pull it off, but have to be aware I will come at you with everything and you can’t win without Russian VPs.
    But then I have offered you a chance at India too or a chance to eliminate Burmese units. Thought I would tantalise you. Aren’t I mean?
    Perhaps advancing into Burma will prove a big mistake….


  • Yes - J was going well until I found out that US could declare war before turn 3! We’ll see what US3 does to them? My hope is not too much? Also if R can go at G R3 I’ll have to rethink J’s backing off last turn in the light of Mongolia. All very interesting! :-o

    BTW had another quick look at the EUR40 rules and don’t see the R & US DW exceptions. Perhaps there was an Errata somewhere!

    Have told Julie I want EUR & PAC 40 for b/day & Xmas. Especially given the room for doubt in another thread re A&A’s future availability.

    How do you keep up with the strategy threads in the 40 Global & 42.2 boards? There is so much of it. I seem to have given up, w/out even starting on the 40 Global stuff.

    Had another scan of the rules:

    “If the US has war declared on it by an Axis power or J makes an unprovoked DoW on the UK or ANZAC, the US may DW  ……” Ahhh!

    Still cannot find the R exception (you did previously say this is if London fell) but looked at the triple a “notes” and it is in there - but not the USA one! Oh well.

    I really do not need to see any rules, as you are the “master” and I am the student.

    Ref keeping up with the boards, I think the problem began when I started playing triple a. The latter is a far better use of the time I have.

    BTW This coming week is very busy for me. Business meetings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, off a for a w/e in Portugal Thursday. Will keep an eye out for your ANZAC posting and do my turns when I can.

    Not got my head around it yet, but resisting your R attack is going to be very difficult. We’ll find out whether it is impossible!
