You got out of the big jam, but the residual jam will most likely be too much for Axis to handle I think. Europe victory seems unlikely for a long time and Japan faces a superior US fleet. Then there is Tobruk :wink:

hahaha between the occasional plane or two that is downed from bombing and the unlucky air blitzes, maybe i don’t have to do anything special, just sorta let you wear yourself out :-P
but in all seriousness, i agree axis VC win is far beyond the horizon, and in the near term i can only hope to try to maintain as high an income as possible while trying to look for weaknesses and hope for some more good luck on key battles.
i am definitely picking up a few lessons learned from this, and i simply cannot be careless about my positioning against you.
although i’m not doing so well, i’m definitely enjoying this game against you
(i knew i should NOT have left tobruk…that was more of an emotional decision to be honest…and also, i felt like i needed to distract you a little to help me out of the jam in europe (with the dual threat on n.italy and germany))

Moving in on Alexandria did provide a bit of respite for Germany and also allowed Japan more freedom to take Caucasus for example, but that extra 3 income will come to haunt you in what is clearly a prolonged game.
Going for income would seem to be the only way for Axis to one day obtain victory, but as of now there isn’t much left to take for Axis and only some things to lose short term.
Yup it’s a fun game indeed, and you’ll be joining Zhukov on my list of people to be careful how low I bid for Allies, since this game was and is too close for comfort.
