ok…I’m having problems with the dice server. It keeps telling me that one of the emails is spelled wrong.
I had entered everybody’s email and checked them all…still got the error message. So I started deleting the emails one at a time…when there was only one left…I still got the error message.
I’ll try again later. -

If you load one of the first team game saves, open the map, then exit back to tripleA’s menu, it will save the old information when starting a new Play By Forum game (just need to change the game ID and thread number).
If that’s what you did and it isn’t working, that’s really strange.
Like wittman, if it helps, I also don’t really need the emails.

Did we want to change the rule that if any other capital except London or Moscow is captured, the Axis take your income?
I think it should only be London and Moscow, not India and the other two Russian ones. Is Not fair and weird and unrealistic. -

I think that the purpose of the income being lost for the other capitals is to represent a hit to the Allies for losing such key positions. The game rules seem balanced to me as is – I mean, that would be a large advantage you are giving to the Allies if you change that rule.
I guess I think about it this way. Count up how much of the “London” income is coming from the “India” region. It’s almost just as unrealistic to take over that capital and the UK only loses 5 IPC’s of production with no other penalty, isn’t it? That place south of Thailand whose name currently escapes me is worth more to the allies than the Indian capital?
Just some thoughts…

The axis start the game with less TUV and income then the allies, so they need that incentive pay to keep the game balanced.
Besides, most of the allied countries have multiple capitals and none of the axis do . So if you capture an allied capital, that country can still continues to collect income, but if an axis capital is captured, they don’t collect anything unless their capital is liberated.If those rules were changed it would drastically change the entire game. Russia could stack Moscow and let all the other eastern territories fall. Same with UK…they wouldn’t have to worry about India being taken over because it really wouldn’t matter much.

The capital rules are fine the way they are.

The advantage of multiple capitals is that you still get to spend and place when, say Paris, is in enemy hands. All money now flows through another capital. It’s the cost of having more than one. They are vulnerable, but losing one is only a 1 round loss/boost.

If losing all UK money to having India fall is unfair, then so too is being able to spend all 100+ ICs in India or all in England. It balances itself out. You can swing one theater, but still have to be mindful enough to protect your capitals. I think it helps spread the money around, creating conflict in more area than if you could simply min/max the game and win.
