  • You did some pretty decisive moves… and there were terrible battles as well.
    I can’t see how to recover from that and turn the tide.

    But it would be just interesting to see how this continues.

    I’ll continue as long as you have the will to fight on! The 2 major battles (1 in each threatre) were major blows to the Axis and to boot I got better than expected results (though both were pretty much guaranteed wins).

    Given my play style, I think it’ll essentially be a slow and methodical economic victory where the Axis income slowly dries up (you’ll see both Germany’s and Japan’s income this round is gonna already suffer due to NOs as the battles not only had a major TUV swing but also provided positional advantages for blocking Axis NOs). You can probably hold onto the Axis capitals for at least another 5 turns as you have plenty of forces in Europe unless I go all in for one of them which is risky.

    Having reviewed the map again and having thought about an intelligent next German move I actually don’t want to continue this one and give up again.
    I mean I could just turtle in Europe and watch what happens. And Japan can’t help out. I did not feel that bad with Japan - but only until your last moves in the Pacifc…

    You are definitely playing in a higher league than me.  :-)

    Anyway this does not disencourage me from starting another one as I am learning a lot. Maybe you can show me how to win with the Axis now?

    It was a pretty close game until those 2 major battles and I’m definitely learning a lot with much of it already being incorporated into the AI!
