Japan went J1 and the plan was Germany would try to secure the med and tie down the Allies there to allow Japan to run rampant.

HOWEVER, UK didn’t reinforce UK so Germany did an about face and did a sealion. The dice objected to this, and the Germans got rocked. They took UK but lost most of their planes etc, allowing the soviet to roll in. We played on a couple more rounds with Germany trying to push back the Soviets. But the Germans got rocked again in East Poland, ending the game. Japan’s J1 was pretty dicey and they got their fleet in a bad position, making any victory there unlikely.

YET! We played another game the next day with the Axis coming out on top! Japan again did a J1 and Germany stayed the course, invading Russia with strength. The Allies dog piled Germany, but Germany managed, with the help of the dice, to resist them successfully. Japan was not containd effectively, took India and was poised to go for the last VC.

At that time we called it because wives and girlfriends were calling and yelling at us. Anyway, I felt vindicated in the 2nd game.

yikes! in the end, sounds like both axis AND allies got rocked! :lol: :lol: :lol: no amount of good dice rolling can counter this kind of attack!

Yeah, thanks for the game. I think I’ve learned a thing or two, I have been out of PtV for a few years now. I reckon I’d like it more without the scramble to land stuff.

land scramble is pretty cool actually. same with carrier scramble. didn’t like as much at first but def have come to enjoy those additions.
