You’ve done a nice job maximizing the NO income for Russia. It’s going to be tough to contend with.

Oh, so destroyers stop subs from moving through them in noncombat, but doesn’t stop subs from moving into them…I guess that’s implied by “However,
if a submarine enters a sea zone containing an enemy
destroyer, it must end its movement there.” -
I guess
Surprised a lot of us

Is there a way to edit the number of kamikazes Japan has?
-
I don’t think so - I use game notes in the view menu to note the actual number when there is an edit

Congratulations to Axis-dominion who has recorded his 40th game of the year.
No one is in the 30’s.
There are 7 in the 20’s
It’s cool knowing so many gamers are enjoying themselves in this year’s league
-
thank you! definitely has been a very fun year of gaming so far.
and thank you for making it all happen!

I’m pleased to see that alot of TripleA live lobby players are now competing in the league. Speaking for myself, I find PBF is a better fit for Global better than live. In my experiences playing Global live on the Triplea lobby, it was taxing to play an entire game in one sitting. A good game typically takes 5 hours at least. One can always use save and play the game over the course of several sittings, but in my experience, unless a game is highly competitive at the time of a save, the game is rarely resumed.
For those active in the TripleA lobby, is Global still being played on the lobby, or has the majority of the action migrated over here?

There used to be a lot of good G40 players in the lobby, but that number started dwindling about 8 months ago which is part of the reason why I joined the league.
I haven’t had much trouble continuing saves in the lobby, you just need to find opponents that are online often enough. A live lobby game can be very enjoyable as well.

Cool. When I finish up all my current games I’ll probably take break from the league for a while, and hopefully hop on for an occasional live game on my off days. I’ll keep an eye out for you. My aliases are “BirdofPrey” and/or “OneEmpire”.

Same name as on here.

How exactly are tiers determined?
-
Please read the 2015 league rules, then ask if you still have questions
-
“The top 8 players in the league by PPG, who have completed at least 8 games, will be eligible to play for League Champion.”
i like the above rule very much, as it helps prevent the situation where a player who just barely got ranked, but happens to have a slightly higher PPG, qualify over me. after all, i’m vested at over 40 games!
some of you are in danger of not qualifying btw, ahem, gamer and me1945!
i have a question, though. if 8 games is what it takes to qualify, then why are you tracking the 10+ game rankings? you have a column that says “10+ gm Rank”–why track this, when you should be tracking the 8+ game ranking? seems like either the league rules are in error, or the column needs to be changed to “8+ gm Rank”
-
10 games is arbitrary, and remember 10 games is required to play best of 5
I start tracking playoff standing separately when we get within about 2 months of the finish line. -
Anyone successfully using latest tripple a 1807?
I uploaded, and all I get are errors when I try to do anything. The error log keeps telling me there is no dice server.

Yes, I just got prompted to update and did the update
Quick test, it is working perfectly so far. Checked out the “undo all” button. Looking forward to not getting logged out on each post to the forum.

Unit Bidding:
“2) The nation placing a unit in a territory or sea zone must have started with a unit in said territory or sea zone prior to placing the bid.
3) In the instance there are units from more than one country in a territory or sea zone, only one nation will be permitted to place a bid unit there. I.e. Egypt has ANZAC and British units present at start of the game, either ANZAC or England may place a bid unit in Egypt, but not both.”I’m confused about these two rules for unit bidding. :?
what, where, when, how and why :? -
What this means is you can’t bid a Russian sub off the coast of Siberia, for example, because there are no Russian sea units in that sea zone. It also means you can’t bid an Anzac inf to New Guinea, as there are no ANZAC land units there at the start of the game.
The third rule just reinforces the second. You could bid a British tank in Egypt, or an ANZAC one, but not both. By the same token, you could bid a French Tac bomber to the UK, since French units are there at the start, but if you did that, you couldn’t also bid a British Fighter there.
Does that help?
-
You don’t have to follow those rules
Whatever you arrange with your opponent is fine. Those are just default settings so that most players don’t have to arrange anything - they just follow the league rules -

Why is there even bidding?
How much are people able to bid and how is that determined?
When is bidding done(Before the match?)
Why are units used to bid and what for?
What does no russian units in such place have anything to do with not being allowed
to bid there?Sorry. I’m new to this whole thing of bidding. I wish it were just as simple as picking a side in TripleA and accepting all default units where they are meant to be placed to begin with. This whole thing about bidding is foreign to me and a bit confusing.
