This has turned into quite the interesting game I must say…looking like Russia can’t keep up with the combo axis power and is therefore slipping further behind. I’m in this situation all because of that terrible blunder I made earlier in the game when I was in a hurry because I played my turn right before racing off to work. I mistakenly saw only one Italian tranny in southern Italy, when in fact there were 4! When I look back at the history and see it again, it still looks tricky to my eyes, as the “4” under the transport blended right into the word sicily, looking like the dot on the first “i”. Alas I have to live with it and play on.
One thing I must admit, I didn’t even think about the convoy on America. Didn’t even cross my mind. Good move there. Definitely a big problem for America and the allies.
We’ll keep playing this out, see how far it will go, but doesn’t look to good for allies.

I agree, but in all fairness we both made mistakes. Most recently I forgot about the bombers now being in place to take out the German transports (which will make life for the allies slightly easier). It is mistakes that made the game interesting, but the mistakes also forced both of us to come up with new ways to try and force a win.
Without the convoy the Axis would have lost by now. I was looking for a way out. I figured that after capturing London, Russia would make a move and it would take time to recover.
