yes, what you did cannot be done. you can’t move the subs and destroyers from 26 to 46 if you are also attacking the sub in 26. the reason is, z26 is not a hostile sea zone and therefore you cannot move ships out of it in the combat move unless they are attacking. this is true of the cruiser and battleship which are bombarding. it is not true of the subs and destroyer though.
in other words - if you attack the sub in 26 then all the units in that zone are part of the attack and cannot therefor move in noncombat. you can’t move out of z26 in combat move unless those units are attacking something.
same is true of the acc’s. i’ll let you change this however you want, including not making the attack of ng if you wish. if you want to make the NG attack, then you can leave the sub in z26 alive.
I will cancel the NGU attack then and keep my navy in z26.

it’s good that you are getting this chance to understand this rule clearly before the playoffs begin - would not be nice to be surprised by this one at that point. i’d say most tier 1 players know about this fact. it stems from the fact that a sub does not make a zone “hostile” and the only way you can move out of a nonhostile zone in combat move is if those units are actually attacking. i guess you could have moved all the boats into z46 if there was an AB on ng and the threat of a scramble. but since all boats except for the bombarding boats are not involved in combat or possible combat, they cannot move until noncom. therefore, they are involved in the attack of the sub in z26 and cannot move in noncom.
I will cancel the NGU attack then and keep my navy in z26.
