ha ha…. you’d think that in a desperate battle the dice would give me a break… but no. I got diced AGAIN…
whatever… this game is over. My hope was to build up fast with the US to take back UK but I don’t think that can happen before you get Cairo…
plus I will lose the fleet anyway.
Interesting game in terms of a learning experience. I think you and Gamer are good because you guys are willing to risk your planes. I am usually too conservative to do that.
GG
I’ll post

GG
Yeah plus Germany outproduces Russia especially once Japan comes in and takes away the NOs from Africa. Then you will produce like 15 a round. When germany has 3 minors making 9 units a round.
UK is a fortress. Germany has naval to guard itself. Italy sends 6 units a round to africa, eventually it gets Egypt.
All around screwed. Germany makes more than USA. Japan still in this game to boot.
-
37 ipc advantage for the axis and growing.
I played the income game. I figured as long as I make 3 inf a round for london, which only costs 9 ipc and london is worth 6…. it pays out nicely.
-
I think if the UK hadn’t totally flopped UK 1 the game would have been more competitive…
Geeze! losing those battles like that sure smarts…
-
Either way I won this game when I diced you there and took London after. Losing both UKs on round 3 is never pretty for the allies.
USA goes full atlantic and leaves japan unchecked means Japan gets to make an attempt at new south wales or Hawaii.
You do a balanced buy and both theaters expand like this.
You go full pacific and Germany transports 14 units a round toward Russia… produces 6 on the two minors… eventually Russia goes. Same with Egypt.
~
Getting diced on UK1 was huge for me. It gave me this option. Sea lion is freaking amazing when Japan DOWs on round 1, because Japan is already expanding so there is no ignoring Japan. -

Most players when they sea lion, make the fatal mistake of waiting to DOW with Japan. This is why they lose. They sacrifice Japan. Like if USA was not in the Pacific, I would have won the Pacific. There is no way ANZAC and China can do it alone.
It forces USA into making an impossible decision, no matter where it goes, the allies get punished. Most players worry too much about USA liberating london quickly, because they lack confidence in their Japan to win in the Pacific.

Now that I have done a G1 dow… I really like it. I mean I am pretty sure I can get Russia on round 6 no matter what the allies do. Italy will get screwed into defending Europe. It is still awesome to take Russia out of the picture.
I might do G1 DOW more often, especially since I like to J1 DOW.
