    Blah, we could drag this out, but either Russia or India is going to fall.  I probably could get back Hong Kong of another VC, but keep it?  :-P

    Those zero loss air raids were devastating…  loosing all those men for nothing in return was a real punch to the gut

    I will do a different opener. I got plenty of strategies.  I only like playing Japan one way, the J1 DOW, later on I branch out. Like this game I did anzac because USA went to Japan. It is a funny move because liberating australia is easy for USA. Also you need USA to be in Japan waters to do this and you need a plan to secure the VC win otherwise things will crumble.

    All, true, but I think Russia was going to fall that would have been the game regardless of Japan.

    That is the backup plan. Lately I been winning in Europe. This is a rare game the Pacific vc win might come first.  Most of the time Japan is not this lucky.

    Usually I try to wait with Japan to see how Germany vs Russia turns out. Play conservatively and focus on money. Once Germany gets Russia then I can go crazy, because I threaten a vc win in both theaters.

    When I am this lucky I have a big cushion to work with. I can have too many units defending Japan for example.  This means a desperate all in is not going to work out for you.

    Normally if I go for the quick vc win with Japan. I am giving you a chance at something like 20-30% Japan or a chance to phil, kwagtung or liberate India while I go after Hawaii (assuming your fleet is down south) or a chance to decimate my fleet to reclaim hawaii… and then I am totally screwed. The odds of which all vary based on how many units I have lost in the process of taking objectives.

    Going for a strait up quick vc win with Japan is normally something I only do when Europe is looking really bad.
