Sure!
Who wants to play A&A 1942 Second Edition tournament rules? (TripleA)
-
Due to time constraints, a tournament cannot truly be reproduced online. So I’ve have an idea:
- Game goes to 5 rounds, no matter what.
- End of round 5: roll a d100, 80 and below, game goes to round 6
- End of round 6: roll a d100, 20 and below, game goes to round 7
I’m really not sure what number to use so I though 80/20 would work.
Anybody want to try this?
-
Sorry, I don’t like tournament rules. They cut in half a game that’s so much more interesting if played to the bitter end. In tournaments, they do this because they have to, but I don’t see why you’d want to do it here.
-
For practice of course! I’m going to be in the tournament at GenCon.
-
So, nobody wants to play the founder of the site?
-
Don’t you have three heads, a tail and breath fire?
I am finding it hard to commit to things at the moment David, as it is the summer hols and my wife works 9-5. I am on daughter watch during the day, as well as working evenings. I would play and saw your thread, but was unsure how many people you wanted and how things would work out. There will be others who want an extra game, I am sure. 42 is a simpler quicker game too, which should help.
Could you explain further how it would work? Is it one on one or teams?
I would play. Sign me up. -
Oh, this would just be a casual one on one game. If we do just a few rounds, the time commitment isn’t too bad.
Let’s do it. Bid for sides?
Rolling 1d2:
(1)1 I start bidding and 2, you start bidding.
-
My bid is Allies +12.
-
10.
-
You win but I’ll give you 12. When you have a limited number of rounds, the Allies are even more handicapped … and I want a challenge. Not sure why I bid 12 :?
Where do you want your 12?
-
Ok, thanks.
Not looked at the map in a while, but if I am the Allies, don’t I go first as Russia?
Can place it myself. Probably a Sub with the a pacific UK fleet and an inf in Egypt. Not sure about the last Inf, probably a Russian for my opening attack.
You did mean 1942, not Global?
Is bed time(England), but can post when I wake up. -
Yes, A&A 1942 Second Edition.
