After replaying it on slow speed, it appears that they are using dice as aircraft range markers and bomb damage. I hadn’t thought of using dice for range markers but it makes sense. More practical than using cardboard chits.
A/C & FTR retreating options?

 Can an A/C that moved 2 spaces during the Combat Move phase, retreat one space and also have FTR’s that moved 4 spaces during the Combat Move phase, retreat one space and land on the A/C?

 Afraid not Commando Brado. If the Carrier retreats, the Air units splash into the sea. 
 Unlike ground or naval units, When an Air units retreats from combat it remains above the territory or in the SZ until non combat. It is now it must leave the hostile SZ or territory. If it has no movement left and no Carrier upon which to land, it crashes.
