    Is there some rule preventing me from loading transports in sz36 after a DOW?

    It’s the only reason I can think of why you would move that dd there.  TripleA allows it, but I don’t see it listed in the ‘TripleA Problems’ page.

    If you declare war against the UK, the zone becomes a combat zone and you can’t land a transport if it is in a contested zone.

    I pulled a sneaky move on you.  :evil:

    Only the US is prohibited from moving its ships into spaces adjacent to Japanese territories.

    My basement group and I have pondered this scenario.  With TripleA not enforcing the rule (if units start in the sea space) and it not clearly specified in the ‘TripleA Problems’ page, and we can find only passing reference to loading in friendly sea zones in the rules, we were wondering if it would actually be correct but never pursued it.  I’m sure it’s there laid out in full color examples, which shows how much effort we put into getting to the bottom of it - heh

    I’m sure you have done the homework and take your word for it.  It does make sense.

    My strategy is blown and my chances for a win are lost!!  Not ;)  My Japan strategy needs work anyhow, this will leverage some creativity into it  8-)

    I see your Exploit and raise you one Technicality  :mrgreen:

    As Gamer pointed out: see page #12, blue side bar, last part of first paragraph 2E rules.  It provides an exception allowing me to load and move transports on my initial DOW from that sea zone.

    Apparently you can circumvent that by doing a DOW first with ANZAC, but that was not the case this time.

    So that was educational - I’m sure you have many other interesting tidbits up your sleeve  8-)
