Burke (Phoenix Coyotes) was particularly brilliant in the second and third periods helping Canada kill numerous penalties. He also got some help from his goal posts and crossbar during a couple of key Swedish scoring opportunities in the second.
Burke stopped 39 of 40 shots in the game.
Canada is now 3-0 at the tournament heading into the qualification round where it will face Russia, Switzerland and Denmark, starting with a game against the Danes at 9 am ET on Friday.
Looks like those cheaten’ swedes can’t perform as well without Mats Sundin - but we all knew that ;)
